Pterostylis pedoglosa (Prawn Greenhood)

A small greenhood with characteristic elongated filaments on each of the sepals. Localised and scarce but found in scattered locations on the S, E, NE and NW Coasts in the Autumn.

The leaves are small stem-encircling rosettes flat to the ground and around 5 – 10 mm across. The flowers are white and green striped with red-brown tip.

The images below were found on skeletal soils ( a couple of cm of leaf mould over granite rock) under a light ti-tree canopy on 21 April 2022.
