cyrtostylis renirormis (Small Gnat orchid)

Cyrtostylis renirormis (Small Gnat orchid) is widely spread and relatively common around most southern, Eastern, North-eastern and North-western in Tasmania in grassy or heathy open forest. It forms small colonies and the leaves are grey- green, flat on the ground and oval or heart-shaped. It is quite similar to the other Gnat orchid found in Tasmania, the large gnat orchid, C robusta which is considerably less common

Flowering occurs from May to October with a concentration in July and August.

C reniformis has been recorded by me in the Meehan Range, South Arm, hills around South Hobart and at Howden
