Corunastylis tasmanica (Tasmanian midge orchid)

Corunastyis tasmanica is an endemic midge orchid found in a wide range of locations in Tasmania. Flowering from early January though to April it can be found in various locations in the foothills of Mt Wellington. It is between 10 to 20 cm tall with a flower spike at the top of the scape with 3 -20 tiny flowers 3 -4 mm long.

The distinguishing feature is the prominent spherical glands on the tips of the sepals.
