Acianthus caudatus (Mayfly orchid)

Acianthus caudatus (Mayfly orchid) is a common and widespread orchid usually found in a wide range of habitats generally in coastal areas around Tasmania. Flowering time is late winter and early spring – August to October.

The images here were taken around the Hobart Waterworks and South Hobart in dry eucalyptus forest.
