Pterostylis pratensis (Liawenee Greenhood)

This tiny but fascinating greenhood is found at around 1,000 m ASL on the Central Plateau on grassy sub-alpine plains around the Liawenee – Western Lakes area. At maybe 5-6 cm it is difficult to see in the grasslands where it typically flowers. Flowering during December it has a fairly short season.
