Pterostylis atrans (dark tip Greenhood)
Summer-flowering medium to large Greenhood. Scape (stem) up to 25 – 30 with a few stem leaves, bearing a single flower. The flower is translucent with white stripes and dark red-brown toward the tip.
The specimen shown was located on the foothills of Mt Wellington on a rocky hillside on the damper side (South) of the hill. Seen 16 Dec 2020.
Uncommon and rarely recorded.
